Sarah Lockhart, MSW, LICSW
Sarah is the Family Services Director at CornerHouse, a Child Advocacy Center in Minneapolis, MN. Sarah received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Luther College and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota. Sarah also completed the University of Minnesota’s Infant and Early Childhood Certificate Program and is a trained Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) provider in the state of Minnesota. Sarah has 10 years of experience providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy with children, adolescents and caregivers who have witnessed and experienced abuse. Sarah uses an attachment lens and developmental approach to her work in therapy with children. Sarah believes that the foundation of therapy is a trusting relationship between a client and their therapist, and that growth comes through empowering youth to use their internal resources to heal through play. Prior to her work at CornerHouse, Sarah supervised Youth Services at Domestic Abuse Project in Minneapolis.
